Gabriela Hennigan is a Special Education Teacher registered with The Teaching Council of Ireland, with 25 years of teaching experience, including 6 years in Special Education. Her younger daughter has autism.
In the years 2015-18, Gabriela completed multiple integrated approach professional training courses in the USA to become an ASD therapist. Gabriela trained in many evidence-based practices for ASD, among others at The Verbal Behaviour Institute and in the EBPs. The other professional training in the areas of relationship developmental and behavioural interventions include: ESDM, PRT, Hanen, RDI, Floortime, Son-Rise. The professional training in the area of sensory motor and movement interventions include: RMTi, Brain Gym, Multisensory Therapy and Cranio-Sacral Therapy.
The professional training in the area of social competency and emotional regulation includes Social Skills Professional Training.
In the years 2016-17, Gabriela held a position of Executive Assistant at Autism Research Institute in San Diego, California, USA. In the years 2017-19, Gabriela was an owner and a lead ASD therapist at Integrative Therapies Centre for Autism Ireland, Ltd.
As the ASD Consultant and Therapist, Gabriela uses an integrated model of evidence-based practices for autism. She currently delivers online training for parents and teachers and consultations on the educational and therapeutic methods to use at home and work with children and teenagers of any level of functioning and intellectual potential.
