๐ฎ๐ช Senior Cycle Level 1 Neural-Academic Booster: Personal Care - Full School Year Registration - 42 weeks with 1 live weekly lesson
Program Announcement:ย Registration is now open for our 42-Week Neuro-Academic Boosterย engineered specifically to support theย Senior Cycle Level 1 Learning Programme (SCL1LP): Personal Care Curriculum Areaย for post-primary students with additional needs across Ireland.
- The Core Framework:ย The Senior Cycle Level 1 Learning Programme consists of a range of curriculum areas designed on a modular basis. There are four core curriculum areas at the heart of the SCL1LP: Numeracy; Communication and Literacy; Personal Care; and Electives. Personal Care consists of three interconnected modules designed for a minimum ofย 180 hours of teaching/class contact timeย over two years, fulfilling the requirement for learning in Social Personal and Health Education (SPHE).
- Your Expert Virtual Teacher:ย Led by an experienced special education teacher from an Irish post-primary school (teaching qualifications since 2002), founder of Brain Therapy Camp, and certified practitioner in theย Melillo Method, primitive reflex integration, behaviour therapy, and Interactive Metronome. Fellow member of IAFNR, specializing in childhood neurodevelopmental disorders and functional neurology.
- Integrated Learning Materials:ย The program seamlessly blends the exact curricular materials and resources your child uses in their Irish school (visual timetables, storyboards, task analysis templates, augmentative/alternative communication aids, and sensory prompts) with advanced, clinical-grade brain-based resources.
- Mandatory Brain Function Test:ย Upon registration, every childย automatically undergoes a Brain Function Test. This baseline screen identifies whether your child presents with a weak right-brain or weak left-brain profile, immediately assigning them to their correct neurological track with distinct teaching methodologies.
Part 1: Module Summary per School Program
- Target Audience:ย Senior cycle students in Ireland with Mild, Moderate, and Severe Learning Disabilities, ASD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and non-verbal profiles who require specialized transitional accommodations.
- National Curricular Alignment:ย Fulfills the Department of Educationโsย Senior Cycle Level 1 Learning Programmes (SCL1LP)ย framework for theย 2026โ2027 academic yearย in full alignment with theย NCCA Curriculum Online 2026.
- Three Core Learning Modules (Personal Care):
- Module 1: Self-awareness and Self-care (60 Hours):ย Promoting body awareness, self-recognition, and personal capabilities. Students learn to express clear preferences, likes, and dislikes, recognize unique personal physical features, and build basic self-care and self-management skills.
- Module 2: Connecting with Myself and Others (60 Hours):ย Nurturing Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies, including social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Students practice interaction, direct peer socialization, and communication across various small and large group activities.
- Module 3: Minding Myself (60 Hours):ย Developing personal safety, age-appropriate wellbeing strategies, and adaptive coping mechanisms to manage real-world scenarios. Students focus on building self-regulation habits and learning exactly how and when to ask for help during life transitions.
Part 2: Our Brain-Based Methodology Used in Accelerated Progress
Our program applies advanced functional neurology to turn health and wellbeing education into precise cortical stimulation, using a dual-directional brain framework to accelerate social-emotional and adaptive life skills:
- The Funcitonal Neurology & Functional Disconnection:ย We target the root cause of automated motor blocks, self-management struggles, and emotional dysregulation by identifying your child's weaker brain hemisphere and stimulating it through precise multi-sensory tracks to bring both sides back into synchronized timing.
- Bottom-Up Brain Development:ย Higher-order social engagement, decision-making, and relationship skills cannot settle if lower brainstem structures are unstable. We systematically integrate retained primitive reflexes (such as the Moro, Fear Paralysis, or Palmar reflexes) that trigger sensory defensive episodes, disrupt interoception (bodily self-awareness), and compromise overall self-care execution.
- Top-Down Neurological Regulation:ย By stabilizing core sensory-motor networks, we build a structural neural-cognitive bridge. This explicitly promotes your child's ongoing development in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), empowering them with functional coping strategies, reliable self-regulation mechanisms, and the neural infrastructure needed to safely transfer school-based learning into daily life contexts.
- Mandatory Parent Attendance:ย Parents play a key role. Because your unique insight optimizes student engagement, parents must attend and participate alongside their child to train as certified home neuro-coaches. Together, we translate clinical neurological triggers into structured home routines.
Part 3: Brain Hemispheres Function & Stimulation
Left Hemisphere Profile (The Sequential Academic Brain)
- Core Mechanisms:ย Controls fine-motor manual execution, right-side physical movements, narrow visual tracking, step-by-step logical planning, linear sequencing, text schedules, and detail-driven task analysis.
- The Imbalance Risk:ย Over-activation causes a child to rely heavily on rigid routines or repetitive literal scripts, showing low big-picture emotional comprehension, dissociation from internal body signals, and intense distress if a care step is modified.
- Specific Activities to Accelerate Left-Brain Skills (Targeting Broca's Area, Wernicke's Area & Motor Cortex):
- SCL1LP Personal Care Goals:ย Memorizing strict step-by-step physical personal hygiene sequences; executing precise fine-motor tracking for tasks like buttoning, zipping, or manipulating kitchen utensils safely; and mapping explicit linear checklists to sequence and checkpoint daily domestic routines.
Right Hemisphere Profile (The Non-Verbal Social Brain)
- Core Mechanisms:ย Controls gross-motor execution, large posture muscles, left-side physical movements, vestibular processing, big-picture comprehension, non-verbal communication, reading body language/facial cues, automatic self-regulation, autonomic tone, mirror neuron tracking, and group boundaries.
- The Imbalance Risk:ย Under-activation (the hallmark of ADHD/ASD) leads to severe autonomic stress dysregulation, profound sensory overloads, low body boundary awareness, persistent transition meltdowns, poor public vs. private environmental safety differentiation, and major difficulty processing Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) indicators.
- Specific Activities to Accelerate Right-Brain Skills (Targeting Prefrontal Cortex, Visual Cortex & Vestibular Center):
- SCL1LP Personal Care Goals:ย Dedicated primitive reflex inhibition tasks to settle fight-or-fight stress spikes; utilizing whole-body gross-motor tasks to physically map internal body awareness (Self-care.a); engaging in scheduled small and large group activities to naturally stimulate mirror neuron tracking and peer relationship pathways; reading non-verbal emotional cues to build self-regulation; and practicing contextual decision-making routines.
Part 4: Benefits of Participation with Us
- Root-Cause Targeting:ย Resolves core autonomic stress dysregulation, self-management challenges, and emotional processing blocks instead of using temporary coping mechanisms.
- Custom Neuro-Profiles:ย Provides an automated left- vs. right-brain diagnostic placement upon registration to ensure targeted activities match your child's exact weak hemisphere.
- Total School Support:ย Accelerates personal autonomy, lowers behavioral friction, promotes relationship building, and completely removes homework exhaustion through a 1 live, 40-minute virtual group class per week model.
- Parental Empowerment:ย Transforms you into a confident home neuro-cognitive coach, fully equipped to use targeted sensory inputs to balance, calm, and socially regulate your child's nervous system across public, home, and academic domains.
Part 5: Why 42-Weeks Consistent Weekly Attendance is Required
- Achieving Temporal Coherence:ย Forcing two disconnected hemispheres to sync requires continuous, perfectly timed sensory stimulation.
- Eliminating Regression:ย Neurodivergent children experience rapid regression over extended breaks; our continuous structure remains active during all school mid-term breaks and bank holidays to insulate and shield their gains.
- Reflex Elimination:ย Integrating stubborn primitive reflexes and building permanent neural pathways takes months of steady, uninterrupted coordination.
Part 6: Registration, Financial Terms & Home Timetable
- Academic Calendar:ย Running forย 42 weeksย from theย end of August / September 7, 2026, until June 30, 2027.
- Holiday Schedule:ย Classes run through all midterm breaks and bank holidays. Theย onlyย closures are December 24โ26, January 1, and Easter Sunday & Monday.
- Provider Cancellation Policy:ย In the highly exceptional event that a class is cancelled by the provider, it will be fully covered with aย guaranteed make-up session delivered in July 2027.
- Strict Non-Refundable Contract:ย All registrations operate under aย 100% non-refundable continuous contract. You commit to a mandatory continuation until the end of the school year on June 30, 2027. There isย no possibilityย to change your assigned module or class times.
