As of May 1, 2023 some virtual at-home services, such as The Neuro - Sensory - Motor program, provided by Brain Integration Therapy & Consulting, require the purchase of a specialised therapy unit, called an IM home unit, by the client, for the purpose of delivering the virtual at-home program at home by the client who is a parent/carer, and are subject to the so called ''special conditions''
This means that a client makes a responsible decision before placing an order for the virtual at-home program that requires the use of the therapy device, because the provider has to order the device with a US-based seller for that client, as a special order under the special conditions. The equipment ordered from the USA is imported for the client with custom duties paid by the provider. In these circumstances, a refund is not possible after all customs and government duties have been settled by the provider for the client, and after the imported therapy equipment is in transit to the client or/and has been delivered and /or attempted to be delivered to the address provided by the client.
A refund is possible solely in the circumstances in which the client cancels their pre-paid order for any at-home virtual program with the required therapy device, before the therapy device is ordered by the provider with the US-based company. In each case, a client is advised on a date of the order being placed with the US-based company and of an approximate delivery time which can range between 3 to 8 weeks and longer. A minimum delivery time is 3 weeks and it can be longer due to many factor; to name a few: the shipment procedures by the US-based company, the import and custom clearance procedures, the shipment procedures after the device has been cleared and paid for by the provider for the client, the shipment procedures while the device is being shipped from the provider's to the client's delivery address, such as possible random checks by a customs clearance agency, address verification, attempted deliveries and more. The Brain Integration Therapy & Consulting is not responsible for any delay in the delivery of a priority package posted to the address provided by the client. It's the client's responsibility to ensure that the provided delivery address is correct, especially in the case of ''care of'' c /o addresses, where the client is not physically present at the provided address to accept the delivery. In any case, the client is responsible for monitoring a parcel delivery status to ensure his/her physical presence at the provided delivery address and/or to ensure the physical presence at the provided delivery address of another person designated by the client, as well as and for liaising directly with the courier company in case of any attempted delivery/ies.
